Had a run-in with a perp that gave me a few new scars and cursed my Eye right out of my skull.

Don't worry about me none. I'm fit as a fiddle. Can't be said about the Eye. Got my a new one, though. Really sharp. Better vision out of this one.

All you kiddies are writing about how excited you are about going back to school, don't forget that there's DANGER out there. Keep on guard, don't let your defenses down.

How the hell can we trust these fucking journals? For all we know, they could be monitored to be used against us! Wouldn't surprise me one fucking bit. Going to have a word with the folk at Florish & Blotts to find out what sort of spells were used in putting these things together - might be Dark Magic.

In the meantime, remember that everything you write can be read by everybody and their gran, and if you're going to write something private, use your strongest wards.
